Snakebite kills 2 minors in Mahottari

Two girls have died in a snakebite incident in the Mahottari district in southeastern Nepal.

The deceased are four-year-old Swati Singh, the daughter of Chandrashekhar Singh of Manarasiswa municipality-2 and seven-year-old Sohana Khatun, daughter of Daud Raen of Mahottari Rural Municipality-2 in the district, the District Police Office says.

The girls were bitten by the snake last night.

Deaths after snakebite incidents are reported in various districts in the southern plains of Nepal almost every summer season.
