Kathmandu. The government has decided to rescue Nepalis in Afghanistan as soon as possible. The cabinet meeting held in Baluwatar has decided to rescue the Nepalis there safely and quickly.
Government Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that taking serious note of the developments in Afghanistan, Nepalis should be rescued safely and expeditiously and the concerned bodies of the Government of Nepal should be directed to work in a coordinated manner.
Spokesperson Karki said that the Nepali government has drawn the attention of the British to the ongoing hunger strike in London demanding to solve the remaining problems of the British Gurkha soldiers. Spokesperson Karki said that the government is committed to resolve the issue through diplomatic channels and as the process has moved forward, the government has decided to call for the withdrawal of the hunger strike.
