Kathmandu: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has demanded that the government should take effective steps to rescue Nepalis in Afghanistan.
After Afghanistan was captured by Taliban insurgents, Prachanda said it was the government’s responsibility to protect Nepalis there.
“My party and I have been paying close attention to the recent political developments in Afghanistan, a South Asian country,” Prachanda wrote on Facebook. The most important thing in this emergency situation is the safety and rescue of the Nepalis there, considering the situation, the government should take immediate and effective steps.
He made it clear that he and the party would take all necessary initiatives and support to bring back the Nepalis in Afghanistan.
