A Division League champion Machhindra Club will run a football academy. Machhindra signed a six-year agreement with Peace Point Boarding School on Sunday to run the football academy.
An agreement was reached between Machhindra Club and Peace Point School on Sunday at ANFA Complex. Chairman of Machhindra Sunil Kapali and Principal of Peace Point Ishu Gurung signed the agreement. On behalf of ANFA, Vice President and Chairman of the Youth Development Committee Upendraman Singh signed the agreement.
Machhindra has become the fifth club to run an Academy. Earlier, three departmental clubs including Tribhuvan Army Club, APF, Police Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club, Sankata Club, New Road Team (NRT) and Satdobato Youth Club have signed an agreement to run the academy.
In the first year after the agreement, the academy will have 14 players from clubs and schools. The players of the academy will practice with the club and the school will provide scholarships for their studies.
Similarly, a total of 21 players will be in the academy from the second year. In which 14 players will be from the club.
