Remittance hits 92 Billion the first month of the current financial year, 20 percent more than last year

More than 92 billion remittances have entered Nepal in the first month of the current financial year.
According to the monthly data of Nepal Rastra Bank, 92.21 billion remittances have been received in the month of July. This is 20.3 percent more than the previous year. In the same period of the previous year, the remittance inflow decreased by 17.4 percent.

During the review period, the number of Nepalis who took the final work permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment increased by 222.8 percent to 44 thousand 540. Similarly, the number of Nepalis who retook labor permits for foreign employment increased by 75.4 percent to 20 thousand 390 during the review period.

This number increased by 286.1 percent during the same period of the previous year.

During the review period, net transfer increased by 18.4 percent to 1 trillion 1 billion 69 million. In the same period of the previous year, such transfers decreased by 15.7 percent.
