KATHMANDU: India and England have reduced their points in the World Test Championship after a ‘slow over rate’.

The match from Wednesday to Sunday under the championship was stopped due to rain. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has said that both the teams will get four points each after the game was drawn, but they will get only two / two points for playing a slow over.

Both the teams have already been fined 40 percent of the match fee by the match referee. Earlier in the game against India in 2020, Australia was reduced by two points for slow over bowling.

The over was delayed as both the teams chose fast bowlers. England had selected four fast bowlers and not a single spinner. Though India played spin bowler Ravindra Jadeja, he bowled only 16 overs in 250 overs.
