40,000 fry of rainbow trout fish sold in Rasuwa

Rasuwa 40,000 fries of rainbow trout are sold in a year. The Rainbow Trout Fish Research Center produces eggs and fry and sends them to different districts.

In the fiscal year 2077/78, the centre had sold 74,000 and 40,000 eggs of rainbow trout fish for rearing and expansion of technology. The center has sold in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Dhading and Chitwan. Mahendra Bhandari, head of the centre, said that the sales were slightly less than the target as farmers could not come to the centre due to the corona epidemic and it was difficult to go to the farmers’ farms from the centre.

At present the centre has 236 Japanese rainbow trout mother fish, 810 Japanese rainbow trout Hurkaula fish, 1,740 Japanese rainbow trout brown fish, 46 Chinese rainbow trout (Danasen) mother fish, Chinese rainbow trout (Suiki). 10. There are 4,400 brown fish and 5,000 fries of common carp fish reared in warm water.

He also said that rainbow trout fishing has been expanded to 38 out of 58 districts in Nepal including hilly, mountainous and mid-hilly areas.
