Government to allow vaccine manufacturing companies in Nepal

The government has decided to allow companies to produce vaccines in Nepal. A cabinet meeting held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday decided to allow such companies to produce vaccines in Nepal, a minister said.

Nepal has also adopted a policy of attracting vaccine companies as it has been allowed to produce vaccines in different countries of the world.

Just as Bangladesh has allowed a Russian vaccine company to produce in its own country, India has also been producing Covisheild vaccines for AstraZeneca through a serum company. The same vaccine is also being imported to Nepal.

Nepal will now also approve foreign companies that want to produce similar vaccines.
