Kathmandu: Police have arrested three people, including an Indian national, on charges of treating a patient without permission.
According to the police, the arrested have been identified as Saurabh Kumar, 31, of Bihar, India resding at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, Dr. Rawet Ranjan KumarThakur, 40, of Mahotari and Radhakrishna Tamang, 46, of Dolakha.
They were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from Healthy Smile Omkar Dental Home in Chabahil on Saturday.
According to Bureau Chief DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh, the arrests were made on the basis of information that an Indian national who was not licensed to practice medicine was working as a doctor at Healthy Smile Omkar Dental .
DIG Singh said that further investigation is underway to take action against them under paragraph 19 of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS and other prevailing laws.
