More than 300,000 passengers have taken service from Bharatpur Airport in two and a half years.
According to the airport office, 311,266 passengers have availed the service till June, 2019 and June 2021. Accordingly, 1 lakh 82 thousand 276 passengers were served by all flights in 2019, while in 2020 74 thousand 807 passengers were served.
Similarly, as of June 2021, 54 thousand 183 passengers had taken the service. He said that despite the increase in the number of flight, the number of passengers has also decreased along with the flight due to the ban and lockdown. He said that when there was no flight, the number of passengers would automatically decrease.
10,700 flights in two and a half year
Aeroplanes of various airlines have flown at the airport more than 10,718 times in the last two and a half years. According to the office, there have been 6,488 flights in 2019, 2,456 flights in 2020 and 1,774 flights till June 2021.
Although regular flights are closed at the airport due to the ban, charter flights are still available.
According to the airport, Yati has been operating regular flights for a few days after the ban was lifted, but now it has postponed its flights. Kunwar, the chief of the airport, said that Guna Air will resume operations in a few days after the flight was postponed.
