Jhapa: Lockdown has been imposed in Jhapa from Saturday for the prevention and reduction of coronavirus infection across the district.
According to the District Administration Office, the lockdown has been announced again from midnight on July 3 to July 8 as the number of corona infections has started increasing.
During this period, transactions of milk, vegetables, and meat products will be open from 6 am to 8 am, according to the administration.
The ban had already been imposed on 10 of the 15 local levels in Jhapa after the corona infection began to increase. The ban, which started from the Buddhashanti village municipality of Jhapa, has been extended to Kamal village municipality in the western part. Similarly, a ban on free public gathering has been imposed in Mechinagar, Haldibari, Kankai, Damak, Gauradaha, Shivasatakshi, Arjundhara and Birtamod.
According to the District Administration Office, Jhapa, the ban was imposed by the local levels on the basis of the local conditions of the infection.
According to Chief District Officer Shrawan Kumar Timsina, the local levels have gradually implemented the ban in coordination with the DCCMC.
