Kathmandu, March 9
The government has removed the age requirement for the grade 10 examination, popularly known as the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE), from this academic year.
Until now, the government had imposed the age requirement of 14 years to appear in the exams.
The Education Ministry spokesperson Deepak Sharma says the government recently decided to remove the requirement for the SEE. However, he says there is an age requirement for the final secondary examinations that the students are required to take after completing the 12th grade.
He says the National Examinations Board will make a decision about the age requirement for the 12th grade.
