Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez Rodríguez calls Cristiano Ronaldo “an idiot” and José Mourinho “abnormal” in leaked audio from 2012

The recording of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez Rodríguez’s 2012 comments has been released, and it has become a hot topic in Spanish football.

He had already blasted former goalkeepers Iker Casillas Fernández and Raúl González Blanco in a leaked audio, but he had also criticized Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho in another.

Pérez called Ronaldo an idiot and a sick man after an audio recording of what he said on the phone was leaked in 2012. Ronaldo, who joined Real Madrid in 2009 from Manchester United, lasted until 2018. In the latter part of the season, his relationship with Pérez was strained.Ronaldo joined Juventus in 2018, after a career that saw him score 451 goals in 438 outings for Real Madrid. He has won the Ballon d’Or four times and the Champions League four times.

Mourinho, he added, is a “dumb coach” who is “extremely proud.” In the recording, he claims that he used to play in a way that he didn’t throughout the game. When Jose Mourinho was the coach of Real Madrid, he ended Barcelona’s domination.
