Case filed against lab’s in-charge for making fake PCR reports

KATHMANDU: FEB. 22 – The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a case against Binod Kumar Yadav, then-Lab In-Charge at Gangalal National Heart Centre, for making a fake PCR report. The case was filed at the Special Court.

Yadav’s PCR reports were found to be fake following a forensic examination of the office computer he used. He arbitrarily used the hospital seal and issued fictitious reports.

Similarly, he has been accused of illegally collecting swabs at the hospital, preparing fake reports without conducting tests, and preparing PCR negative reports based on verbal requests, according to the CIAA.

Bed Prasad Bhandari, an Assistant Spokesperson at Special Court, also stated that a case had been filed against Yadav for collecting money by providing false PCR reports.
