Russia announces withdrawal of troops from Ukraine borders


MOSCOW: FEB. 18 – Russia says it has begun withdrawing more tanks and other armoured vehicles from areas near the Ukrainian border.

“Following the completion of the scheduled exercise, another military train carrying personnel and military equipment belonging to Tank Army units of the Western Military District returned to their permanent bases in the Nizhny Novgorod region,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

It also stated that ten warplanes had been withdrawn from Moscow’s breakaway Crimean peninsula.
